Rapids' Tim Howard is the new voice of Denver International Airport

Tim Howard is the new voice of Denver International Airport.

The newly-minted Colorado Rapids goalkeeper is lending his voice to the trains at DIA, greeting passengers at the airport with a Rapids-themed message.

Howard isn’t the first Denver athlete to record a welcome message for DIA, with former Broncos Peyton Manning and Champ Bailey having previously greeted travelers at the airport.

“I am proud to now call Colorado home,” Howard says in the recorded message. “There’s no better combination than soccer and summer in the great Colorado sunshine. Let’s go Rapids.”

The Rapids will return to action on Saturday, when they’ll host Sporting Kansas City at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park (9 pm ET; MLS LIVE).
