Without Suarez, Uruguay stil in fine form after beating Trinidad and Tobago

Luis Suarez - Uruguay - Close up

Here are some more news in the world of Copa America Centenario competitors: Uruguay is looking pretty good going into the tournament, too. On Friday, the team played Trinidad and Tobago in a friendly in Montevideo—and they handily defeated their visiting opponents. And yes, they did so even without Barcelona star Luis Suarez, who’s injured.

Bein Sports provided this recap of the game. And their best weapon? Edinson Cavani, who handily bagged a brace for a final 3-1 score. (The other goal came courtesy of Matias Vecino.)

That made Uruguay’s only warm-up game before Copa, but it shows them in fine form. Their first game in the tournament comes on Sunday, June 5 against Mexico (8 pm ET, FS1).
