New York Red Bulls loan Ouimette, Reynish to NYRB II; waive Carroll

Zach Carroll, Michigan State, 2016 SuperDraft class

The New York Red Bulls continue to shuffle their defense with a couple of roster moves announced on Saturday. The club has loaned center back Karl Ouimette, as well as goalkeeper Kyle Reynish, to USL team New York Red Bulls II.

They’ve also waived another center back, Zach Carroll, the Red Bulls’ second-round pick in the 2016 MLS Super Draft. He made five appearances with New York Red Bulls II this season, but never appeared with the first team.

This all comes on the heels of the team’s recent acquisition of center back Aurelien Collin from Orlando City, a 2012 MLS Best XI selection and three-time all-star.

With the new openings, fans might expect some more moves on the Red Bulls’ back line—there are still a few days left until the primary transfer window closes on May 11.
