David Bingham's denial of Dom Dwyer wins MLS Save of the Week

For the second time this season, San Jose Earthquakes goalkeeper David Bingham has won MLS Save of the Week honors, edging out Orlando City goalkeeper Joe Bendik with with 56 percent of the fan vote in the final round..


Sporting Kansas City striker Dom Dwyer probably thought he put his side ahead in the 29th minute with a driving header, but an outstretched Bingham denied the effort, preserving a clean sheet that would eventually help San Jose win, 1-0. Bingham’s stop beat out Bendik's diving save head-to-head, and also won over Columbus Crew SC's Steve Clark and the Colorado Rapid's Zac MacMath.
