Ethan Finlay, Justin Meram and Cedrick Mabwati are a pretty good set of wingers, but it never hurts to add more talent.

And that's exactly what Columbus Crew SC did on Friday in signing Danish Superliga veteran Emil Larsen.

The 24-year-old has spent the last 3 1/2 seasons with Odense Boldklub, totaling 17 goals and 13 assists in 114 appearances with the club across all competitions.

“Emil is a young, dynamic midfielder with a bright future and he comes to this club with valuable experience in the Danish Superliga and with his national team. He’s a player that we feel will fit in well in our system and will provide our attack with an added dimension,” said sporting director and head coach Gregg Berhalter, in a team release. “We have a solid corps of midfielders and Emil is an important addition to that group.”

Larsen started his career with Lyngby Boldklub and scored 11 goals in the Danish 1st Division as an 18-year-old.

He has registered seven caps for his country, making his debut with the Danish national team in November 2012. He had a two-assist performance in October 2013, his most recent appearance for the team coming in March 2014.
