Finding value in your DraftKings lineup with the ever-changing lineups of MLS

With the Audi 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs right around the corner, the action both on the field and on DraftKings has been intense. Get in the game and you could take home a share of over $10,000 in cash prizes that will be awarded this weekend.

Give yourself an edge by following @MLSFantasy on Twitter for updates on starting lineups, strategy and tips throughout the weekend. Here are my top targets at each position for Saturday’s contests:

Goalkeepers

Obvious Pick:Chris Konopka ($5,500) will look to make it three straight wins at home against a Philadelphia Union side that just lost an emotional 120-minute US Open Cup final.

Budget Pick: The Earthquakes are on the playoff bubble and need another big game from David Bingham ($4,500), who kept Real Salt Lake off the board in a 1-0 win at home last weekend.

Sleeper Pick:Tally Hall ($4,800) and Orlando City SC have reeled off three straight wins to keep their playoff hopes alive. Hall has 10 saves and 37 DraftKings points over that span.

Defenders

Obvious Pick: Another week, another double-digit fantasy performance from Chris Tierney ($7,000). The left back continues to justify his high salary by consistently posting high crossing totals.

Budget Pick: Despite limited playing time as he’s been eased back into action from injury, Brek Shea ($4,500) has an assist in each of Orlando City’s three consecutive wins.

Sleeper Pick:Jeff Larentowicz ($4,200) has six goals on the season, with five of those coming on penalty kicks. “Big Red” has also been known to hit a mean free kick.

Midfielders

Obvious Pick:Kaká ($10,500) put on a show in his first MLS action in nearly a month against the Red Bulls last week. The Brazilian had three assists (25 points) and will need to do more of the same to keep Orlando City alive in the playoff hunt.

Budget Pick:Bernardo Anor ($3,100) looked active in a reserve-laden Sporting KC attack last weekend, putting up 11 points in 74 minutes. Just be sure he’s starting before locking him in.

Sleeper Pick: With playmaker Matias Perez Garcia suspended, Shea Salinas ($6,700) may see an increased role in the San Jose attack. Salinas had seven points on three shots and three crosses last weekend.

Forwards

Obvious Pick: I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but anytime Sebastian Giovinco ($14,000) is on the board i’m going to make room for him on my team. The Italian continues to put up video game numbers and has an excellent matchup against a downtrodden Philly squad on Saturday.

Budget Pick:Carlos Rivas ($5,500) played a part in Orlando City’s shock 5-2 win at New York Red Bulls last weekend, dishing a pair of assists for 19 points. He has a nice floor as he contributes to multiple statistical categories.

Sleeper Pick:Gilberto ($7,200) has two goals, 11 shots and 39 points since being inserted into the Chicago Fire starting lineup two games ago.
