AMSTERDAM – Multiple sources informed MLSsoccer.com that Bolton rejected Queens Park Rangers third offer for defender Tim Ream, with the London club now tabling a fourth bid for his services.
In addition, a source close to the matter told MLSsoccer.com that Fulham have also registered interest in the US defender. Through it all, Wanderers boss Neil Lennon's public position is that it will require a considerable amount more to part with the club's two-time defending Player of the Season.
"I don't want to sell him and the club doesn't want to sell him," Lennon told the Bolton News. "He is important to what we want to do here and there is no real interest in selling.
"Look, at the end of the day every player has his price. I'm not saying we will refuse offers so long as it suits us, but at the minute it doesn't."
Meanwhile, Bolton are hoping Ream can get back on the field after he missed their season-opening draw at Derby County with a leg injury.
"It is something he picked up on international duty," Bolton press officer Emma Norris told MLSsoccer.com. "The manager said he probably will miss out this week."
Though not entirely ruled out yet, the St. Louis native is expected to miss Tuesday's Capital One Cup tilt against Burton Albion and Saturday's league visit to Middlesbrough.
