7 pm ET, MLS LIVE

Two teams in the thick of the chase for playoff placings in the Eastern Conference meet for a third time this season when Philadelphia Union play host to Columbus Crew SC on Saturday evening at PPL Park. Union come into the game a point out of the top six and the available playoff spots, coming back for a late 2-1 win at the San Jose Earthquakes on the road last weekend. Crew SC sit just a point outside the top two in the division, their four-game undefeated run put to an end in a 3-0 home loss to FC Dallas last weekend.

  • Conor Casey scored two goals – the 11th multiple-goal game of his career – pulling back from a late deficit for a 2-1 win Saturday at the San Jose Earthquakes, their second consecutive victory away from PPL Park.
  • Crew SC has their four-game undefeated run put to an end, falling 3-0 to FC Dallas at MAPFRE Stadium on Sunday evening.
  • The teams are meeting for the third time this season. Ethan Finlay scored a goal and set up two others, and Kei Kamara scored a goal and added an assist, as Crew SC took a 4-1 win April 25 in Columbus. Union returned the favor with a 3-0 victory June 3 at PPL Park, as Sebastien Le Toux scored a goal and assisted on another.
  • The win in the last match ended a four-game Crew SC winning streak in the series. The last had come in a 3-0 victory June 5, 2013 at PPL Park.
  • Crew SC have never lost to Union in Columbus. They have won six of seven meetings there all-time, with one draw, including the last three matches in the Ohio state capitol.
