With goal on Sunday, San Jose Earthquakes star Chris Wondolowski will become 9th member of "100 Club"

Chris Wondolowski is only one goal away from joining one of MLS' most prestigious clubs.

When he headed in his sixth goal of 2015 at Avaya Stadium last Saturday night against Columbus Crew SC, Wondolowski took his all-time regular-season MLS goal total at 99. That strike put him just one away from joining eight other players with at least 100 MLS goals. He'll get his chance on Sunday evening when the Quakes host Orlando City SC at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California (7 pm ET; Fox Sports 1, Fox Deportes).

The San Jose Earthquakes star has scored a majority of his goals since the start of 2010 season, 92 to be exact. That is 30 more than any other player in that time period.

Jason Kreis was the first member of the "100 club," scoring his 100th MLS goal back in August 13, 2005 agains the Kansas City Wizards.

Taylor Twellman is currently the fastest to 100 goals, accomplishing the feat in his 174th (and final) game. Ante Razov sits in a distant second, scoring his 100th MLS goal in his 217th game. If Wondolowski scores on Sunday he would supplant Razov, scoring 100 goals in 2010 games.

Recent entrants into the "100 club" include Dwayne De Rosario, who scored his 100th MLS goal back in 2012 and Edson Buddle – the only active player in the group –  when he scored against the LA Galaxy (his current team) last August.
