Today, we're all insiders – fans, staff, and media alike. Everybody's perspective brings something cool and different to the soccer experience. So today, we’re redefining what being an "MLS insider" means.
In the past, fans trusted our league twitter handle, @MLSinsider, to deliver news, clever commentary and keen analysis.
Now, you can get all that and more on @MLS, where we’ll provide premium access to events, giveaways, photos, videos and highlights. We'll be at the games, hanging out with the players, and talking with fans. And we’ll continue to share the latest news and the best soccer content across the web.
For Josh Whisenhunt, the main man running the @MLSinsider twitter handle, don't worry, he's not going anywhere. Josh is just as charming and witty on his personal handle as he was on the league account, so be sure to follow him at @JoshWhisenhunt. But now he’ll be joined by a fleet of MLS insiders, ready to share their perspectives and personalities with you.
Check out this page for a list of those accounts, you might know some of them already.
Behind-the-scenes content doesn't belong on Twitter alone. Last week, we announced MLS Insider, an exclusive new 30-minute show where we get up close and personal with the players and personalities that help shape our league, from the lives of renowned players, to historic announcements and astonishing rivalries.
Produced by Hock Films, which is headed by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Jonathan Hock, MLS Insider will air on Fridays at 7:30PM ET on the NBC Sports Network and at 2:00PM ET on the TSN networks in Canada. Watch clips from the initial episode here:
- Tim Cahill's soccer journey from Australia to RBNY
- Robbie Rogers returns to the beautiful game
- Philly supporters prove brotherhood transcends the field
Catch up on all the MLS TV programming from last week.
We know this incredible MLS journey we’re all on is not ours alone to tell, so we’re asking you to join us!
Whether you’re at the stadium, in your favorite MLS jersey, watching a match at the bar or with your friends on an away trip, tag your tweets, photos and posts with #MLS or your club hashtag! If you're lucky, you'll appear on our Fan Wall, and we may even give away some swanky gear when we see a super cool or inspirational pics.
So, to summarize: The @MLSinsider Twitter handle is coming to an end, but the real insiders will still remain. That includes you.
