MLS announces 30-game TV sked for TSN/RDS in Canada

NEW YORK — The three-way battle for Canada between the Montreal Impact, Toronto FC, and the Vancouver Whitecaps will begin and end on national television.

Major League Soccer announced the 2013 schedule for the TSN and RDS networks in Canada, a season-long package that includes 30 games, all featuring Montreal, Toronto, or Vancouver, as well as the 2013 MLS All-Star Game on July 31. The schedule will open with Vancouver-Toronto on March 2 on TSN and RDS2, and finish with Toronto-Montreal on October 26 on TSN and RDS.

The four Canadian networks, TSN, TSN2, RDS and RDS2, will also broadcast the MLS All-Star Game on July 31, and select matches featuring US-based teams that the league says it will announce in the coming weeks.

All MLS games on the TSN and RDS networks can also be seen live on TSN Mobile TV and Télé Mobile RDS in Canada.

Beyond the season opener and closer, highlights of the TSN/RDS schedule include Toronto’s home opener, against Sporting Kansas City, on March 9, and the Impact’s home opener, against Toronto, on March 16.
