Houston Dynamo forward Brian Ching and fellow U.S. national team member Landon Donovan to throw ceremonial first pitch at Astros game

HOUSTON, TX - Dynamo's leading scorer Brian Ching, and two-time World Cup veteran Landon Donovan will be throwing the honorary first pitch at Minute Maid Park, on Tuesday, August 8, at 7:00 PM


Brian Ching is the starting forward for the Houston Dynamo and has become one of the premier scoring threats in Major League Soccer. Landon Donovan, of the Los Angeles Galaxy, is one of the most recognizable American faces in soccer.


At the of age 20, Donovan started every game for the United States in the 2002 World Cup, scoring two goals that led the US to the quarterfinals. Many consider Donovan to be the best U.S. born soccer talent ever produced. He was named the U.S. Soccer Male Athlete of the Year, and is the first three time winner of the Honda Player of the Year award.


Ching and Donovan will face each other on Wednesday, August 9, when the Houston Dynamo take on the Los Angeles Galaxy as part of the double header featuring FC Barcelona and Club America.
