Everton FC arrives in Utah on Thursday

SALT LAKE CITY (Thursday, July 19, 2007) - English Premier League club Everton FC will arrive on the Wasatch Front later this evening in preparation for the opening match of XanGo Cup 2007 against Real Salt Lake, set to take place this Saturday, July 21, at Rice-Eccles Stadium at 8:00 p.m. MT. Everton FC Manager David Moyes has selected an 18-man travel squad to bring to the U.S., including current USA first-choice goalkeeper Tim Howard, England international forward Andy Johnson and Portuguese World Cup veteran Nuno Valente.

As part of The Toffees' activities in the Salt Lake City area, RSL will host the Everton FC Practice Session and Autograph Alley, presented by Jerry Seiner, The GM Guy, at Quinn's Junction in Park City on Friday, July 20, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. All fans in attendance at the open training will be available to meet and receive autographs from select Everton FC players following their practice session. In addition to their session tomorrow morning, Everton will squeeze in a Saturday morning walk through at Rice-Eccles Stadium from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to that night's contest against RSL. Both the Friday and Saturday morning practices will be open to the public and members of the media.

Arrive at Salt Lake City International Airport at approx. 8:20 p.m.

Friday, July 20

9:30-11:30 a.m.: Practice session and Autograph Alley, sponsored by Jerry Seiner, The GM Guy, at Quinn's Junction in Park City
