In its fifth year of existence, United for D.C. has further established itself as one of the most creative and efficient foundations in Washington, DC. Through three primary initiatives, the organization touches countless lives. United Soccer Club, an after-school program created at the request of underserved local residents and funded wholly by the foundation, provides an organized outlet for children at three different locations twice a week. The Kicks for Kids program will bring more than 10,000 underprivileged children to watch United play this season alone. United Reads, currently presented in six DC elementary schools, distributed nearly 8,000 books during player visits to each classroom throughout the spring with an even greater number slated for this fall.
