Crew 3, Galaxy 2 -- quote sheet

COLUMBUS CREW 3, LOS ANGELES GALAXY 2

LOS ANGELES GALAXY HEAD COACH FRANK YALLOP

On the match:
"It was a poor performance to be honest and we're disappointed."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY FORWARD EDSON BUDDLE

On scoring against his former team:
"It's bittersweet, especially playing a man up for as long as we did. We'll probably pay for it in training next week and we should. We have to start getting used to playing with one another and gain some positive momentum."

LOS ANGELES GALAXY MIDFIELDER CHRIS KLEIN

On the result:
"When you're a man up a majority of the game and you give up two set pieces, I think that those are the two glaring disappointments from the game. When you're a man up for that long, you should win the game but we let them get two when they were a man down."

COLUMBUS CREW HEAD COACH SIGI SCHMID

On his team's victory:
"The victory is very rewarding. I grew up in Los Angeles, so coming back home and getting a win is rewarding. It is most rewarding for the team, because we found a series of bad luck early in the season and now we are turning things around. Hopefully we will be a little healthier next week, because we have a lot of guys out missing; so for us to win is very important."

COLUMBUS CREW MIDFIELDER EDDIE GAVEN

On his performance:
"Coach [Sigi Schmid] has always had faith in me, and I have had faith in the way I play. I think every season has highs and lows. There was a four-week stretch where it was a low for me, but things are starting to come back up for me. I think the thing to keep in mind is the team effort we had out there tonight. We played awesome as a team. Every guy out there was working really hard."

COLUMBUS CREW DEFENDER EZRA HENDRICKSON

On his ejection and winning the match with a man down:
"It is good for us. We needed a win, and we were going to come out and get it. Right now we are a very confident team. We were also a confident team when we started the season, but we had some ties that we thought could have gone our way. We were patient, and this team is never going to give up; we are going to continue fighting. Winning streaks are a habit, so I hope we can continue this one for some time."
