Chivas holds first 'Practice in the Community'

CARSON, Calif. --
As part of its continuing commitment to the community, Club Deportivo Chivas USA of Major League Soccer will hold a special 'Practice in the Community' this Sunday, April 27 at 10:00 a.m. PT at Rio de Los Angeles State Park.

The first in a season-long series of community practice sessions, Chivas USA's Sunday morning practice, hosted by the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks, will give fans the unique opportunity, free of cost, to come out and watch, up close, the practice session of a professional soccer team.

"Chivas USA's Practice in the Community, which will continue each month throughout the season, underscores our commitment to brining the Chivas USA brand to the community in a meaningful way," said Chivas USA President and CEO Shawn Hunter. "We hope that soccer fans of all ages will come out this Sunday with their families and friends to enjoy the unique experience of watching a professional sports team train in your own backyard."

Following the practice session, which will last approximately an hour and include the participation of Chivas USA's full squad, the team will hold an autograph session on the field until 12:00 noon PT.

Rio de Los Angeles State Park is located at 1900 San Fernando Road, Los Angeles, CA 90065, just off the Golden State (I-5) and Glendale (SR-2) Freeways.
