All systems go for Davis

Another hurdle cleared for Brad Davis.

Davis played 29 minutes in Tuesday's Dynamo reserve game against Toronto FC, Davis' first game action since June 30. Davis underwent knee surgery on July 5 and has been rehabilitating since. Tuesday, Davis assisted on Chris Wondolowski's goal and had positive reports after the match.

"It feels really good. I was glad to come out here and get the rust off things," said Davis. "The knee has been getting progressively better the more I've been training with the team. I'm looking forward to getting back on the field with the first team."

Davis hopes to play Sunday when the Dynamo faces FC Dallas in Frisco.

"I'm not 100 percent yet, but I'm going to keep plugging away and when my time comes I hope to be ready," said Davis.

Davis has played in 14 games this season, and scored a hat trick against Chivas USA on June 21.
