Wizards 'Welcome home party' set for Monday

The Kansas City Wizards invite all fans and media to take part in a Wizards "Welcome Home Party" on Monday, November 15th beginning at 6:00 p.m. CT at the Arrowhead Indoor Training Facility. Win or lose this weekend, the Wizards will celebrate the end of a tremendously successful season in which the team captured the 2004 U.S. Open Cup Championship, the Western Conference Regular season title and were crowned 2004 Western Conference Champions.

"This is a tremendous opportunity for the Wizards organization to say thank you to all our fans and celebrate this hugely successful 2004 season," said Wizards General Manager Curt Johnson. "I want to personally invite each and every Wizards fan to take part."
In 2000, the Wizards hosted a Welcome Home Party following MLS Cup 2000 and drew a packed house with an electrifying atmosphere. All fans are encouraged to bring their cameras and get pictures with Wizards players and coaches as well as Wizards Founders Lamar Hunt, Clark Hunt and Dan Hunt.
In addition to the team, the U.S. Open Cup trophy and the Western Conference Championship trophy will also be on display. All fans in attendance will receive a collectable Wizards Team Picture commemorating the team's successful 2004 campaign.
The Arrowhead Indoor Training Facility is located just outside Gate 5 on the southwest side of the Truman Sports Complex. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. CT. Plenty of parking is available in Lot N with a short walk to the Indoor Facility.
