HOW ACQUIRED: Selected 7th overall in the 2012 MLS SuperDraft.
DeLeon came out with his hair on fire in his rookie season, scoring six goals and assisting on four others, for a team that made it to the 2012 Eastern Conference Championship. He scored the game-winning goal in the late stages of United's Conference Semifinal matchup against the New York Red Bulls that year. He became a regular starter on the right wing for United who was known more for his defensive prowess rather than his attacking punch. Towards the end of 2016 he shifted to right back and that appears to be the position he will be playing going forward.
COLLEGE: Played two years at UNLV, where he scored two goals, before transferring to Louisville. There he registered 14 goals and nine assists. Was named to All-Big East Conference First Team in both of his seasons with the Cardinals.
NOTES: 2012 MLS Rookie of the Year finalist.
