On January 28, 2019, Vancouver Whitecaps loaned out Blondell to Chile's Huachipato FC for the 2019 season with an option to purchase. Transferred to Huachipato on Oct. 17, 2019.

The Venezuelan international forward was originally signed by the Whitecaps on November 30, 2017 from Monagas SC in Venezuela. Described by then Whitecaps head coach Carl Robinson as a "strong, quick and powerful" forward, Blondell came in with high hopes as a physical, direct option up top for the Whitecaps in 2018. But his debut MLS season would end with a single goal in 18 total appearances.

INTERNATIONAL: Made his senior international debut for Venezuela in November 2017 in a friendly against Iran.

OUTSIDE MLS: Blondell spent his entire career prior to joining Vancouver in his native Venezuela. He made his pro debut for Yaracuyanos in 2012 before moving to Zamora in 2014, helping the team to back-to-back league titles in 2015 and 2016 while also gaining experience in the Copa Libertadores and Copa Sudamericana. Moved to Monagas for the 2017 season, when he led the Venzuelan Primera Division with 23 goals in 37 games (33 starts).
