New York City FC's Jack Harrison out for England U-21s due to injury

Jack Harrison - makes a pass during England Under-21 training - New York City FC

New York City FC winger Jack Harrison won’t play in the England Under-21 national team’s European Championship qualifier at Ukraine on Friday due to an injury suffered last week, according to his official Instagram account.

The nature of his injury hasn’t yet been specified, but he said that he hopes to be back training in a “few days.”

Harrison is currently in his second-ever camp with the England U-21s. The 20-year-old completed his second year in MLS last week, as NYCFC were knocked out of the playoffs by Columbus Crew SC last Sunday. Harrison appeared in all 34 regular season games with NYCFC in 2017 and started both of their playoff matches, going the full 90 in the second leg of the Columbus series over the weekend.
