The third overall pick in the 2015 SuperDraft won’t be with the Montreal Impact this year, as club technical director Adam Braz told reporters on Tuesday that forward Romario Williams will be loaned out for the 2016 season.

Williams, 21, made two MLS appearances for the Impact in his rookie season, playing a total of seven minutes.

Montreal announced the signing of 2016 second round pick Michael Salazar earlier on Tuesday. When Williams goes on loan, the Impact will have 27 players on their active roster, one shy of the MLS limit of 28. The club will open their 2016 season on Sunday at the Vancouver Whitecaps (5:30 pm ET, TSN1 and RDS in Canada, MLS LIVE in the US).
