Fantasy: Week 25 positional rankings

Reid, Mike, and Blayne get together to review the top fantasy takeaways form Round 24 and mourn the two blowouts that didn't happen. They also take some time to highlight the big D.C. result and what fantasy managers can expect in the weeks to come. After that, they jump right in to previewing the double-game Week teams in Round 25 and Reid join in the fun by offering his thoughts on player picks and potential value gains. They wrap up everything by congratulating the Spring Patreon winners and reviewing the latest results of the MLSHI Hosts H2H league.

There’s no rest for the weary with Week 25 of MLS Fantasy kicking off on Tuesday. It’s the first double-game week (DGW) of the Fall season, with six teams playing twice and giving fantasy managers a chance to make some big moves in the standings. With roster rotation expected, be sure to monitor starting lineups to help with any final decisions.

Goalkeepers

He’s no guarantee to start, but Luis Lopez made his MLS debut for LAFC in Week 24 and at $4.7 million, he’s worth looking for when lineups are announced. It’s possible Tyler Miller ($6.0) takes back over as starter after being rested last week, and with two favorable home games he would slot in for Lopez atop the ‘keeper rankings too.

Defenders

Laurent Ciman was on the bench last week but with rotation expected he could be back in the starting lineup on Wednesday. He’s averaging nearly eight fantasy points per game at home this season, and with two home games this week, he checks in as the top-ranked defender.
