Trade Quebec outlet TVA Sports reported on Aug. 10 that the Montreal Impact have traded M Calum Mallace to Seattle in exchange for a 2019 fourth-round SuperDraft pick. The center mid has played for Montreal since their 2012 MLS expansion season. The trade was confirmed later on Aug. 10.
Report According to a report out of Paraguay, F Derlis Gonzalez will not be making a move from Dynamo Kiev to the Sounders following prolonged negotiations.
Trade The Sounders announced on Aug. 7 that they had re-acquired hometown F Lamar Neagle in a trade with D.C. United, sending their natural fourth-round selection in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft
Signing Spanish left winger Victor Rodriguez, a product of Barcelona's famed youth academy, signed with the Sounders on Wednesday. The 28-year-old had two goals in 25 La Liga appearances this past season for Spanish side Sporting de Gijon, who were relegated in May.
Reports Several Paraguayan outlets reported on July 24 hat Paraguayan international F Derlis Gonzalez is set to play his last game for Dynamo Kiev on Wednesday in their Champions League qualifying match. The reports state that Gonzalez, 23, could join the Sounders after the match.
Report Per Seattle-based reporter Niko Moreno, defender Roman Torres is looking to make a move away from the Sounders. Last December, Torres' clean strike clinched MLS Cup 2016 for Seattle in penalty kicks.
Signing The Sounders on July 1 announced the signing of Dutch defender Kelvin Leerdam, who will be added to Seattle's roster pending the receipt of his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate. Leerdam has spent the last nine seasons in the Dutch Eredivisie with Feyenoord and more recently SBV Vitesse. He has made 186 league appearances dating back to 2008.
Rumor Seattle-based reporter Niko Moreno tweeted on June 28 that the Sounders have made an offer for Paraguayan international forward Derlis Gonzalez, but the player has not decided whether to accept the offer. Gonzalez currently plays for Dynamo Kyiv in Ukraine.
Report Seattle-based reporter Niko Moreno reported on June 24 that the Sounders have decided to pass on Costa Rican center back Allan Miranda after the 30-year-old spent two weeks in camp on trial, likely spelling Miranda's return to Herediano for the time being.
Trialist The Sounders currently have Costa Rican center back Allan Miranda in as a trialist. Miranda, 30, currently plays for Herediano in his native country and is a close friend of former Sounder Leo Gonzalez.
