Summer 2017 MLS Transfer Window Tracker: LAFC

Signing LAFC confirmed on Aug. 9 the signing of F Carlos Vela as the club's first Designated Player. Vela will remain at Real Sociedad through the end of 2017, and will join the MLS expansion team ahead of their debut campaign next year.
Report According to an August 8 report from the LA Times, LAFC are in talks to sign 28-year-old Mexican international Carlos Vela from La Liga outfit Real Sociedad. Later in the day, the Spanish club and the player himself subsequently issued statements. 
Report On July 6 Metro's Kristian Dyer reported discussions between LAFC and former AC Milan midfielder and Japanese international Keisuke Honda, who also happens to be training with LAFC's USL affiliate Orange County while he's still out of contract.
Report ESPN FC's Mark Ogden reported on June 28 that LAFC are in talks with Galatasary midfielder Wesley Sneijder. The 33-year-old has led Galatasary to two Turkish titles, and one the UEFA Champions League with Inter Milan in 2010. The midfielder has the most caps in Netherlands national team and has participated in three World Cups. He won the Silver Ball at the 2010 World Cup, when the Dutch lost to Spain in the final.
Report ESPN FC's John Sutcliffe reported on June 15 that LAFC are in talks with longtime Mexico national team midfielder Andres Guardado. The 30-year-old, who is currently under contract with Dutch club PSV Eindhoven, has 24 goals in 133 career appearances for Mexico.
Report According to ESPN FC, Mexican forward Javier "Chichiarito" Hernandez's salary demands are "way north of $10 million," which effectively would put LAFC out of the running to secure his transfer from Bayer Leverkusen
