Sueño MLS

Now in its 10th season in 2016, Sueño MLS – Presented by Allstate Insurance Company is a nationally-televised talent search which rewards the best field player and the best goalkeeper with a spot on an MLS academy team.

The top goalkeeper and best five field players from each tryout advance to the National Finals, where they receive special instruction and mentoring from international stars. The top netminder at the National Finals wins the El Portero Allstate award, while the top Sueño MLS field player is announced a week later on República Deportiva, the Univision network Sunday sports show which documents every step of the Sueño MLS journey, showcasing the best stories on a weekly basis.

Over 15,000 young players have participated in Sueño MLS since its inception in 2007 and the program has discovered standouts like 2015 MLS Cup champion Jorge Villafaña, Monterrey forward Gabriel Funes Mori, and his brother, Everton FC defender Ramiro Funes Mori.
