Two Seattle Sounders supporters got married in the stands during game vs. LA Galaxy | SIDELINE

The Seattle Supporters’ Shield—as in, the actual silverware—has had a more exciting life lately than most of us humans reading about it. This past August, a group of Sounders supporters brought it along on a cancer-fighting, fundraising summit of Mount Rainier.

This Sunday, the Shield once again notched some extracurricular activity, showing up in, yes, a legit wedding in the supporters’ section of CenturyLink Field during the Galaxy-Sounders game.

The happy couple? Matt Banks, the Canadian president of Sounders North supporters group, and Brooklyn Cowan, an equally devoted supporter. Friends and fellow fans captured the whole thing on social media. The ceremony—a tidy two minutes—also made a cameo on the national game broadcast.

Check out the video of the ceremony below, along with a bunch of Twitter photos.

Congrats to Matt and Brooklyn, and hats off for some excellent, low-stress wedding planning!
