Inter Miami CF appear on the search for a new goalkeeper, and reports are linking the club to Everton's Jonas Lossl ahead of the 2021 MLS season.

The Miami Herald has reported that the second-year club is looking at the Danish goalkeeper to replace Luis Robles, who was the team's starter during their inaugural season. However, the 36-year-old Robles saw his 2021 contract option declined after a season where he fractured his left arm in early October. Danish outlet Tipsbladet reported that Ligue 1 side Marseille is also interested in signing Lossl, so there could be competition.

Lossl, who went to the 2018 FIFA World Cup with Denmark, is reportedly searching for consistent playing time in order to be selected for this summer's UEFA European Championship. Lossl hasn't played since the end of the 2019-20 season when he was on loan at Huddersfield Town. He hasn't played a first-team match since joining Everton in July 2019, instead making his name in English soccer at Huddersfield. On the international level, Lossl has one cap and serves as a backup to Leicester City's Kasper Schmeichel.

Though John McCarthy finished the 2020 season in goal for Inter Miami, Lossl very well could be their first-choice goalkeeper if he joins.
