Minnesota United score last-minute winner against FC Cincinnati after controversial corner kick call

Minnesota United pulled out a dramatic 1-0 win over FC Cincinnati on Saturday after Aaron Schoenfeld stuck home a rebound off a corner kick in second-half stoppage time. The real talking point of the game, however, will be the decision to award Minnesota the corner kick in the first place.

As Loons attacker Emanuel Reynoso dribbled into the box, he was challenged by FCC's Nick Hagglund, with the ball possibly rebounding off Reynoso's shin before rolling out over the endline. Referee Malik Badawi awarded Minnesota a corner despite Hagglund's vehement protestations, and they would go on to use that opportunity to score the winner.
