Gaffe by Portland Timbers goalkeeper Steve Clark proves costly

He was probably trying to use up a few more seconds with 10 minutes left in the match and his team in the lead.

But it didn't quite work out as planned.

Portland Timbers goalkeeper Steve Clark has a reputation for being comfortable playing the ball with his feet, but it cost him at the 2015 MLS Cup final and it once again in the Round of 16 at the MLS is Back Tournament.

His footwork failed him with 10 minutes remaining and the Timbers up 1-0. It led to an incredible sequence, a penalty kick and a dramatic end to the match. Watch the play above and find out how it ended here.
