MLS Classics: Chelsea, All-Stars provide goals galore for 2012 match in Philadelphia

Another throwback MLS All-Star Game presented by Target is on tap during our MLS Classics series, with previous ones being the 2017 showdown against Real Madrid and the 2018 one against Juventus.

This go-around, fans can check out the 2012 edition against Chelsea, one where a second-half rally prompted celebrations in Philadelphia, Pa., at what’s now known as Subaru Park. Like all others, the stream will begin at 4 pm ET.

To show some historical context, Chelsea’s goalscorers included Frank Lampard well before he joined New York City FC, and bright-eyed midfielders Kevin De Bruyne and Eden Hazard entered as second-half substitutes. Now, the latter two are among the world’s best at their positions.

We don’t want to spoil the outcome, so be sure to check out the stream above and starting lineups below. You can view the full archive of MLS Classics games, too.
