On this day: Freddy Adu makes his MLS debut for DC United

On this day 16 years ago, history was made at RFK Stadium as 14-year-old Freddy Adu made his professional debut for D.C. United against the San Jose Earthquakes. He became the youngest player to step on the field for an MLS match that afternoon and the youngest for any professional sport in the United States that day.
