NYCFC vs. FC Dallas | 2020 MLS Match Preview

2020 MLS Regular Season Week 3
NYCFC vs. FC Dallas
Yankee Stadium – Bronx
March 14 – 12:30 PM ET

After a pair of 1-0 losses in league play while balancing Concacaf Champions League run, New York City FC play their MLS opener at Yankee Stadium Saturday afternoon when they take on FC Dallas.

NYCFC (0-2-0) conclude a busy week that started with a 1-0 loss to Toronto FC at BMO Field and continued Wednesday against Tigres UANL in the CCL quarterfinals. After having a goal called back in the first half for offside, Ifunanyachi Achara capitalized on a defensive miscue to score his first MLS goal 10 minutes from full time to defeat NYCFC.

FC Dallas (1-0-1) rallied from a second-half, two-goal deficit to earn a point from a 2-2 draw against the Montreal Impact at Toyota Stadium Saturday. Zdenek Ondrasek cut the hosts' deficit in half in the 83rd minute and Ricardo Pepi leveled deep in stoppage time with his first MLS goal to cancel out a Maxi Urruti brace.
