TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Signing
The 28-year-old has played for three different teams in his six-year MLS career with 92 career starts in 102 appearances. Most recently, Duvall played in one match for the Houston Dynamo a year ago before being waved in August.
“Chris provides experience and balance to the roster,” Timbers general manager Gavin Wilkinson said in a statement. “He’s a great fit whose veteran presence will help us along the back line.”
Duvall also competed with USL Championship sides OKC Energy FC (three appearances) and Rio Grande Valley FC (three appearances) in 2019.
Previously, Duvall, who can play both right and center back, spent two seasons with the Montreal Impact after three years with the New York Red Bulls.
“Chris is a veteran defender who has trained very well with us, so we are happy to have him under contract moving forward,” Timbers head coach Giovanni Savarese said. “He has been in this league a long time and having someone with his experience at right back will be valuable.”
