TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report
Already with one South Korean international on the squad, the Vancouver Whitecaps may be interested in landing Inbeom Hwang's international teammate.
According to Steve Han as well as Manuel Veth of Transfermarkt, the Whitecaps are chasing attacking midfielder Lee Dong-gyeong and have agreed personal terms with the player.
Lee, 22, currently plays for Ulsan Hyundai where he has four goals and two assists in 30 appearances with the club. He has two caps with the South Korean national team, making his debut in September. He had eight goals in nine appearances with the U-20 national side.
It's been another busy offseason for Vancouver, headlined by their club-record acquisition of Lucas Cavallini as well as the likes of Cristian Dajome, Leonard Owusu, Ranko Veselinovic and others.
The club open their 2020 season on February 29 against Sporting KC.
