Chelsea and USMNT star Christian Pulisic out "a few weeks" with injury

Christian Pulisic - Chelsea - Close up

At the end of the busiest period of the domestic English season, USMNT and Chelsea star Christian Pulisic has picked up an injury.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard announced that Pulisic will be out "a few weeks" with a tendon injury suffered in training. The winger has been rotated in and out of the lineup during the festive period that saw Chelsea play five games between December 22 and January 5.

Pulisic, 21, has enjoyed a solid first half season with Chelsea after his big money move from Borussia Dortmund. The American star has five goals and two assists across 16 Premier League appearances (12 starts). He also has made three Champions League starts.

The Chelsea attacker won't potentially be involved with the USMNT until the first FIFA international window in March. Barring a setback or another injury, Pulisic should be healthy and available to be selected.
