New York City FC teammates Taty Castellanos and Jesus Medina faced off in a friendly between the Under-23 sides of Argentina and Paraguay (respectively) on Tuesday, Medina scoring the visitors' goal in a 1-1 draw at Estadio Ciudad de Vicente Lopez that serves as preparation for both sides ahead of CONMEBOL's upcoming Olympic qualifying tournament.

Medina (pictured at top) started for Paraguay, as did Portland Timbers midfielder Cristhian Paredes and reported Atlanta United transfer target Mathias Villasanti, while Castellanos came off the bench in relief of Argentina striker Adolfo Gaich.

Medina took advantage of some slack Albiceleste defending to open the scoring early before Alexis Mac Allister converted a penalty kick earned by Nicolas Capaldo.

The CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament will be hosted by Colombia and kicks off on Jan. 18, with the top two finishers booking places in the men's soccer tournament at Tokyo 2020.
