Ezequiel Barco – Atlanta United – tight shot

Ezequiel Barco has been linked to a high-profile move to Europe for months, with the latest report claiming two Italian giants are keeping tabs on the Argentine midfielder.

Calcio Mercato reported on Monday that both Roma and Inter Milan are interested in Barco, but either club may be eyeing a move for him in the summer, which would likely be a boost for Atlanta United's Concacaf Champions League hopes in the spring.

The links to Roma and Inter are the latest related to Barco, who was recently linked to Portuguese titans Sporting Club as a possible replacement for Bruno Fernandes, although Fernandes appears set to stay at the club after signing a new deal.

Barco, 20, just finished up his second season with Atlanta, scoring three goals and four assists in 15 league appearances in 2019, his season limited by a knee injury and playing at the U-20 World Cup. When he was available, Barco looked far more assured on the field in his second season in MLS.
