Terrence Boyd scores late golazo in Germany to beat league leaders

Terrence Boyd had a cup of coffee with Toronto FC this year, but in his new digs the striker is scoring goals and making sure the latest one ends up on the highlight reels.

Boyd left TFC in July after playing 11 league games for the Reds, and signed with German third-division side Hallescher, where he's settled nicely. On Saturday, the former US international hit an absolute golazo in a league match against MSV Duisburg, an 89th-minute winner in traffic from way downtown.

The 1-0 win was critical for Hallescher, as it brings them within three points of the 3. Liga lead behind Duisburg. The top two teams at season's end will automatically be promoted to the 2.Bundesliga, while the third-place team goes into a playoff series against the team third-bottom in the second tier. Boyd is in the top five in scoring in his division for Hallescher, with nine goals to date this season.
