TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report
FC Dallas are negotiating with Ligue 1 club Nimes over the potential transfer of winger Romain Philippoteaux, according to French journalist Loic Tanzi.
According to Tanzi, the transfer fee currently being discussed is in the range of €400,000 Euros (about US$442,000). One of last year’s promoted teams to Ligue 1, Nimes finished ninth last season but Les Crocodiles currently sit in last place in the top flight with a 2-5-5 record.
Philippoteaux, 31, has been a reliable attacking contributor for several clubs in the top two tiers of French soccer for the better part of a decade and is currently Nimes’ co-leading scorer with three goals and two assists in 10 matches so far this season.
A right-footed player who typically works the left flank and often cuts inside to create danger, Philippoteaux is capable of playing on both wings.
