Atlanta's Julian Gressel wins 2019's penultimate AT&T Goal of the Week award

Gresselmania has descended on the AT&T Goal of the Week race.

The classy run and finish by Atlanta United’s Julian Gressel dominated this week’s poll, the second-to-last of the 2019 regular season, garnering 74.36% of ballots cast.

Scored in the Five Stripes’ 1-1 road draw with the Montreal Impact, the tally was made possible by a visionary backheeled assist from Emerson Hyndman and ATLUTD fans turned out in force to endorse it, leaving the glorious chip by New England’s Gustavo Bou a distant second at 11.86%.

The entrant from MLS Golden Boot presented by Audi frontrunner Carlos Vela came in third at 5.69%, closely followed by the free-kick hit by his LAFC teammate Eduard Atuesta, while the LA Galaxy’s Uriel Antuna brought up the rear at 2.99%.
