Sitting perilously on the playoff line in the Eastern Conference, the Montreal Impact look to snap out of a malaise that has seen them lose six of their last seven league games when they host an FC Dallas side looking to rebound from a midweek loss at the LA Galaxy.
The Impact (10-13-3) rallied from a two-goal first-half deficit, but conceded late to fall to the Chicago Fire 3-2 at SeatGeek Stadium Saturday night. Montreal shifted gears Wednesday and defeated Calvary FC 1-0 on the road in the Canadian Championship semifinals. Anthony Jackson-Hamel scored the lone goal in the 13th minute as the Impact advanced to the final 3-1 on aggregate.
FC Dallas (10-10-6) couldn't build momentum from an emotional home win over Minnesota United, falling at the LA Galaxy, 2-0, Wednesday night. Zlatan Ibrahimovic struck for a second-half brace, breaking the stalemate in the 68th minute before sealing the game with an 82nd-minute penalty kick.
