Last year's Supporters' Shield winners hit the road to meet the leaders to win that title this year when the New York Red Bulls meet Los Angeles Football Club in a scintillating showdown to close out Week 23.

LAFC (16-3-4) moved 10 points clear of the Philadelphia Union in the Shield standings following a 2-0 win over the New England Revolution, a fifth win in their last six games. Diego Rossi and Latif Blessing scored a goal in each half to lead the visitors to a league-best seventh road victory.

The Red Bulls (11-9-4) moved into third place in the Eastern Conference following a 2-0 win over Toronto FC at Red Bull Arena Saturday. Kaku split a pair of defenders before his cross intended for Kemar Lawrence deflected into the Toronto net off a sliding Chris Mavinga in the 55th minute. Lawrence then closed the game out in second-half stoppage time, just moments after TFC were reduced to 10 men when Justin Morrow was sent off for DOGSO.
