Minnesota United are cruising at the moment, lodged in fourth place in the Western Conference standings and riding a 4-0-1 unbeaten run as they prepare to host the down-at-the-heels Vancouver Whitecaps at Allianz Field on Saturday (8 pm ET | TSN2 ā€” Full TV & streaming info).

Not so fast, Loons.

Head coach Adrian Heath did his best to give his side a harsh reality check on Thursday, ripping into the squad for what he deemed subpar effort and focus in that dayā€™s training session.

ā€œIf we train like we did today, it will be a long day on Saturday, because we were terrible today. Really poor training session,ā€ said Heath.

ā€œEverybody thinks it's easy now, we've cracked the code and it's dead easy,ā€ declared the outspoken Englishman. ā€œI've been doing this too long, to know it doesn't. It can change just as quickly as it changed for us to get on this roll. Because they might've forgot that we lost the three previous before that. I havenā€™t.ā€

Heath went on to promise that unless drastic improvement is shown on MNUFCā€™s training ground, ā€œthe team that gets picked on Saturday will not be the one you expect.ā€
