The first El Trafico of 2019 is nearly upon us, and stakes are high.
Supporters' Shield-leading LAFC are looking to build on their historic first half of the season while the LA Galaxy, now third place in the Western Conference, look to peg their in-city rivals back towards the pack.
After three games in the young rivalry, the Galaxy are unbeaten. The first was an all-time classic, as the Galaxy reversed a 3-0 deficit to a 4-3 win on Zlatan Ibrahimovic's debut, including the AT&T 2018 Goal of the Year.
The second featured another Galaxy comeback, this time from 2-0 down to earn a 2-2 draw.
The third was a 1-1 draw, with superstars Carlos Vela and Ibrahimovic trading goals.
This Friday at 10 pm ET will be the first iteration of Vela vs. Ibrahimovic in 2019. If last season's matches are anything to go by, it's going to be a great one.
