Week 17 brings us the first big double game week of the MLS Fantasy Fall season, with 12 teams playing twice. The possibility of earning points from two games presents an ample opportunity to make some big moves on the leaderboards, so let’s take a closer look at which DGW players to target at each position.

Bill Hamid leads the league with 87 saves and he ranks second in MLS with seven shutouts. Despite failing to keep a clean sheet over his last four games, he’s in a good spot to get back on track with a pair of favorable home games vs. Orlando City and Toronto FC.

With no clear cut defensive standouts this week, Frederic Brillant gets the nod here as the defender with the most bonus points of the double-game week defender core. In addition to his consistent bonus-point production, Brillant has a good shot at earning clean-sheet points from at least one of D.C. United's two home games this week.

Diego Valeri did not disappoint in Week 16, delivering a goal, three assists, and 21 fantasy points (42 for those savvy enough to captain him) to lead the Dream Team. Look for another big week from “El Maestro” with two games in hand this week.

Wayne Rooney was a bit of a bust in D.C.’s Week 14 double-game week, but with a lack of elite double game week forward options, it’s back to the well as he leads all DGW forwards with 106 points. Up first is a favorable home matchup with Orlando City on Wednesday before hosting a TFC side who have shipped five goals across their last two games.
