The Colorado Rapids aim to extend an unbeaten run to seven games when they host Supporters' Shield-leading LAFC Friday night at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

The Rapids (4-9-4) raced out to an early two-goal lead, but settled for a 2-2 draw with the Vancouver Whitecaps Saturday night at BC Place. Diego Rubio opened the scoring in the 8th minute and Andre Shinyashiki doubled that advantage in the 20th minute. Fredy Montero cut the Whitecaps' deficit in half from the penalty spot and Yordy Reyna leveled late with a free kick.

LAFC (11-1-4) return from the Gold Cup break after defeating the San Jose Earthquakes, 3-1, in the U.S. Open Cup Round of 16. After falling behind early on a Vako goal, Diego Rossi leveled in the 35th minute and Adama Diomande and Carlos Vela scored in the second half to lead LAFC into the quarterfinals.
