Two teams desperate for three points meet Friday night at BMO Field when Toronto FC host Sporting Kansas City.

Toronto FC (5-6-3) are clinging to the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference following a 1-1 draw at Vancouver last Friday night that extended their winless streak to six matches. Nick DeLeon scored the dramatic 90th-minute equalizer six minutes after Fredy Montero put the hosts in front from the penalty spot.

Having won just one of their last 10 games, Sporting KC (3-5-6) are four points below the playoff line in the Western Conference. Sporting, too, played to a 1-1 stalemate on the road, drawing the Houston Dynamo Saturday night. Yohan Croizet put Sporting in front in the 63rd minute, but the lead lasted just six minutes before Alberth Elis equalized.
