The Colorado Rapids are looking to continue their strong recent run of form when they host a Minnesota United FC side coming off their first home loss when the Western Conference squads tangle at Dick's Sporting Goods Park on Saturday night.

The Rapids (3-9-3) extended their unbeaten streak to four consecutive games with a 3-1 home win over FC Cincinnati in Week 14. Rookie Andre Shinyashiki opened the scoring two minutes from halftime. One minute after Kekuta Manneh leveled for the expansion visitors, Nicolas Mezquida put the Rapids back in front in the 73rd minute. Diego Rubio put the game on ice nine minutes later.

The Loons (6-6-3) suffered their first Allianz Field defeat Saturday night, losing to the Philadelphia Union, 3-2. Through goals by Hassai Dotson and Kevin Molino, Minnesota twice rallied to equalize, but there was no response to Auston Trusty's 86th-minute winner as the Loons suffered back-to-back defeats.
