MLS and Liga MX released ticketing information on Thursday for the 2019 Campeones Cup, the second edition of the annual match pitting the MLS Cup champions vs. Liga MX’s Campeon de Campeones.
This year’s Campeones Cup will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, home of reigning MLS champs Atlanta United, at 8 pm ET on Wednesday, Aug. 14, broadcast on the Univision and ESPN family of channels in the United States, TSN and TVA Sports in Canada and Televisa in Mexico.
Tickets will go on sale on Saturday at noon ET via Ticketmaster.com, or by visiting CampeonesCup.com.
The Five Stripes will face either Club América or Tigres UANL, the winners of Liga MX’s Apertura and Clausura campaigns, respectively. America and Tigres will face off in the Campeon de Campeones final on July 14 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California to determine who will face ATLUTD.
An important aspect of the MLS-Liga MX partnership is making a positive impact in the community, so this year Atlanta United and the two leagues will give back by partnering with the Latin American Association (LAA) in Atlanta to improve work spaces for their youth mentoring programing, which aims to empower Latinos to adapt, integrate and thrive.
Tigres won the inaugural edition of Campeones Cup, defeating Toronto FC 3-1 at BMO Field last September.
